All stages of requesting a portrait can be performed in the comfort and convenience of your home, or office. The entire process of making your portrait starts with a free initial consultation, followed by signing a contract and providing a small retainer by the client. The following step is to schedule the sitting. The portrait sitting is similar to a photography photo session. After that Marco paints your painting in his studio delivering the masterpiece at the agreed delivery time for the viewing of your finished portrait. The entire procedure is designed to make the portrait process rewarding, fun, pleasant, creative and artistic.

What Marco offers?

Marco offers individual and family portraits in Oils and Acrylics in his unique and distinct style. 

 

What is the process? 

After the initial contact, Marco will schedule a consultation at the location of the clients convince, whether being at your home, office, zoom, or local coffee shop. 

 

The Consultation 

At the consultation, everything will be discussed about your vision for your portrait. From location to composition, backdrops, wardrobes, surfaces, and framing options. After everything is agreed upon, Marco will write up a contract which is to be read and signed by the client, a retainer or deposit is requested before the next step.

The Sitting

After the consultation, the next step is the sitting. Most portraits nowadays are painted from high-quality photographs, rather than having the subjects of the portrait endure long and tedious sitting sessions. 

 

The photographs taken during the sitting is only used as a references for the final painting, therefore the photographs will not be shared with the client as it is not an accurate portrayal of the portrait that will be created. 

 

The objective of the portrait is to not only achieve likeness but to capture the sitters personality. 

 

Delivery 

After the sitting, Marco will work diligently in his studio to create your painting masterpiece. Depending on the composition, and size, the painting should be complete within the agreeable time. Marco will personally deliver the final painting to your home or office, or the client can pick up the painting locally. All artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity. Final payment is given upon receiving the painting.

Unveiling parties are welcomed by Marco which could be discussed upon commissioning.

Materials & Pricing

Pricing varies greatly depending on the size of the painting, and the complexity of the painting. How many subjects or persons are being portrayed, if the painting will include a detailed background or just a solid background, etc. Custom framing is also available for clients as it is considered part of the art. Marco prides himself in bringing the joy of art portraiture at an affordable price. The surfaces he uses are all archival and are built to last well into the next millennium and beyond.
